Green House at Hackney have exhibited a Bill in
Chancery to stay Execution of the Judgment in
Ejectmr.obtained agt. the said Pugh and the Clerke
laid before the Committee a Draft of an Answer
which he had prepared and the same was read &
approved

Ordered that the Clerk lay the same before Commit
& when perused and settled to get it engross'd and
sealed with the City Seal.

Mr. Edmd. French< no role > attended & acquainted the
Committee that the Sugar house in Queen Street
part whereof was held of this Hospital at £5.6.8
P Ann rent under a Lease made in 1677. to John
Cock
< no role > Esqr . has been unfortunately burnt down
and he proposed to Surrender the present Lease
which will expire at Midsumer 1738. & take a
new Lease for 51. Years from Midsumer next &
offered the Old rent & £300 Fine.

The Consideration of this proposal deferr'd to
the next Grand Committee And in the mean time
Mr. Trear Mr Du Cane Mr. Wyeth Mr. Hollister &
Mr. Malyn are desired to View the premisses & to
take a Work man with them.

Order'd that Mr. Purde & Mr. Porter do view
the House in Cheapside now in Mr. Edwards
tenure & Mr. Farrow's House in Pater noster row
and make an Estimate of the repairs necessary
to be done there

The Clerk is directed to bring an Ejectmr for
Recovery of the premisses Usher holds at Wapping

Mr. Treasurer reported that the Committee
appointed to View the Sugar house in Queen
Street have with Mr. Danie viewed the same
and found it all in ruins

Report at Good
for a Workhouse


Mr. Treasurer also reported from the
Committee appointed to View the Ground at
Hackney had been there and are of Opinion
that a Small piece of Ground containing
about an Acre fronting the Bowling Green
House is a very proper Place for Building a
Work house
