Report abt: New Street
in St: Thomas.}


The Sub Comittee to whom it was Referred to Consider of Capt:
Amery's proposall relating to the Opening or making a way from
St: Thomas's to the Maze pond Reported to this Comittee That
they had been to View the Houses & Ground lyeing between that
part of St: Thomas's Street where Mr. Ward the Raker Lives, and
the way neare the Maze pond leading into Snowes Feilds [..]
which are all held by Leases from this Hospll: severall whereof are neare
Expireing And they are of Opinion that it will be much for the advantage
of the Hospll. Rents to have a Cart way made from St. Thomas's Street
aforesd to the sd way leading into Snowes Feilds. And that therefore no New
Lease be granted to the sd Mr. Ward or any other persons of his House or anyotherof

the other Houses or Grounds
lyeing between his House &
the Maze paid that may
obstruct the making of
the sd Way.

and ordered to be

Mr. Joseph Ward< no role > Tennt: for 2: Houses at the Corner of
St: Thomas's Street turning towards Joyners Street, at
£2:4s: P ann. Expireing at Lady day 1703: Refused to
Renew and the Comittee ordered him to put the Houses
into Repaire.

Ward refused to Renew
White Old Bailey .


Inquire into the matter of Mr: Whites Lease of House
in the Old Baily against next Comittee.

Mr. Waterman 's Offer.


Mr: Waterman proposes £10: Fine & £2:4s: P ann for a
Lease of 51: Years of a peice of Ground at the Maze
pond next the Alley adjoyning to his Dwelling house
abt: 50: foot in Front.

Ordered that the Letting of this Peice of Ground by Lease be
Respited, it beingofthe Opinion of this Comittee that
the same is fitt to be Improved by Building with the
Ground adjoyning

Ground Rent of Houses
belonging to Chaltred &
Coulds, & Ebbit Etc
Approved.


Ground Rent for the Two Houses in Possession of
Chalkred & Coales to be £5:10s: And the Ground
Rent of the 4: Tenemt: adjoyning belonging to Mr:
Ebbitt & Mr. Pursuall be continued at £2:4s: P ann
Chalkred & Coales to be Sumoned to next Comittee
& Mr: Ebbitt & Mr: Purseevall.

New Wards poor to
be brought in}


Ordered that the New wards be forthwith Fitted in
& the poore brought in thither, and it is Referred to
Mr: Trear to take Care therein.
