Whereupon the thanks of the General Court were unanimously
given him And he having acknowledged his Obligations
to the Court for their great Civilities to him resigned the
said Offices And the Court Proceeded to the Choice of a proper
person to Succeed him therein And the Petition of
Mr. Thomas Matthew< no role >
(who was the only Petitioner) being
read and he being called in The said Thomas Matthew< no role >
was unanimously Chosen Clerk of this Hospital and Steward
of our Mannour Courts
during the pleasure of this Court
At the usual Salaries of thirty Pounds P Ann as Clerk
and fourteen Pounds P Ann as Steward of the said Courts
with the usual Fees and Perquisites belonging to the
said Offices And the said Thomas Matthew< no role >
being acquainted
therewith Promised a due Attendance on the affairs of
the Hospital
And was thereupon at this Court Admitted
to the said Offices.

The Orders & Proceedings of the last General Court
were read & approved
The Report of the Grand Committee of their
Proceedings Since the last General Court held the 7th.
day of June 1727. was read and is as followeth Vizt.
To the Right Worshipfull Etc.
And as to that part of the said Report which relates
to the Lease from Mr. Spence taken by the late Hospitler
& Steward. It is Ordered that the Hospitler & Steward
for the time being do pay the Overplus of twenty
Shillings P Ann mentioned in the said Report [..]
in proportion to what they enjoy.
And as to that Part of the said Report which
relates to Bewick Farme in Yorkshire
It is Ordered
that the Grand Committee may treat and Agree for a
new Lease of the said Farme upon such Termes at
they shall think fit not withstanding there are 3 Years
of the present Terme unexpired.
And as to that part of the said Report which
relates to the Allowance of another Labourer
for
