Mr Ellis has desired of Mr Treasurer to let
him have an Elm Tree for the repairing of his Stable: Mr Treasurer
desires you will enquire into it, & appoint him what is necessary for the
same

Sr:
The Govrs: having taken Notice of Mr: Ithell's Rent continuing
still in Arrear notwithstanding yor. Promise long age that it should
be discharged very soon, have now ordered an Account thereof to be
sent to Mr: Ithell himself before they proceed to any other Methods
I shall wait a few days for yor. Answer, which I hope will prevent
any further Trouble, & am Etc

Mr: Swaine
It is now almost two Months since Mr Treasurer
reced yors. of the 25th of June last signifying yor. having ordered £54:19:6
to be paid hare on yor. Account. I have psent to Mr. Thornet on several
times, who declares he has not recd: the Money: Mr. Treasurer therefore
hopes you will write to yor. Correspondent at Canterbury to know the
Reason why the Money was not remitted to time, & that you will take
care to have it paid here forthwith.

At Hasting leigh to be left at the
Flying Horse at Wye Kent
agt the Ashford Bag.
