That your Petitioner was on the 5th. day of January
1799 convicted before Henry James Pye< no role >
and Joseph More< no role >
Esquires
two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
for the
said County of Middlesex
upon the Oath of William Kettle< no role >
in the Penalty of Five Pounds for demanding and receiving
of the said William Kettle< no role >
one Penny as profit upon Two
Shillings leat by your Petitioner upon a Pawn of a pair
of Hose otherwise a pair of Stockings to the said William
Kettle< no role >
in the name or under the description of Mr. Roberts
one Penny being more than at the rate of One half
penny for the loan of any Sum not exceeding the Sum of
Two Shillings and six Pence by the Calender Month-
including the Current Months in which the said Pawn
was received contrary to the Statute Etc. by which
Conviction your Petitioner conceives himself agrieved
And therefore your Petitiner appeals to
this Court against the same and prays that
your Worships will hear him thereon and
grant him such Relief as his case requires and
that a day may be appointed for the hearing
and determining the same
And Your Petitioner will ever pray Etc.
