Sheweth
That your Petitioner on the 10th. Day of February 1797
was bound Apprentice with Twenty Pounds Premium to John Hall< no role >
of
Cross Lane
Long Acre
in the County of Middlesex
Coach Carver
for the
Term of Seven Years to be by him instructed in the Art of Coach
Carving and has ever since continued in the Service of the said John
Hall< no role >
.
That about Twelve months ago the said John Hall< no role >
took a Public House in Parkers Lane
Saint Giles's
where he lodged
your Petitioner in a Garret with four Beds and where any Person who
came for a Nights Lodging might and did sleep in consequence
of which your Petitioner found Vermin upon his Body and Linen
That the said John Hall< no role >
having frequently beat
your Petitioner in a very severe and cruel manner and not having
sufficient Business to keep your Petitioner in employ he is desirous
of being discharged from his said Apprenticeship
.
Your Petitioner therefore most humbly Prays
your Worships to Order his Indentures of
apprenticeship
to be delivered up to be cancelled
and a return of so much of the Premium as to
your Worships shall seem meet.
And your Petitioner shall ever Pray
