To the Worshipful his Majesty's Justices of the peace in and for the County of Middlesex
in their present General Quarter Sessions of the peace assembled.

The Humble Petition of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the
the parish of Saint George the Martyr in the County of Middlesex

Sheweth

That the virtue of an order or pass warrant under the Hands and Seals of
Sir Wm. Addington< no role > Knt. and Rupt. Clarke< no role > Esquire two of his Majesty's Justices of the
peace in and for the said County (one where of being of the Quorum) bearing date
the 5th. day of February lastEdward Ballard< no role > Widower and his three
Children vizt. Edward< no role > aged upwards of six years Thomas< no role > aged upwards of four
years and John< no role > aged about two years were removed and conveyed from and out of
the parish of Saint Clement Danes within the Liberty of Westminster in the said
County of Middlesex , to the said parish of Saint George the Martyr as the place
of their last legal Settlement

Your Petitioners conceiving themselves aggrieved by the said
order of the said two Justices appeal to your Worships therefrom, and
humbly pray that You will be pleased to hear them in the premises
and order that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of
the said parish of Saint Clement Danes
may appear before you on a certain day to be appointed
to abide the Judgment and determination of the Court touching
the said Appeal.
