On the Prosecution of
John Woodgate< no role > & Mary< no role > his
Wife for an Assault

Philip Jarmaine< no role > of Crown Court in the Parish of
Saint George in the County of Middlesex Shoemaker
maketh Oath and saith that in March last
a Bill of Indictment for an Assault was found
against this Deponent by the above named Prosecutors,
and this Deponent further saith that he expected
to have received Notice of Trial from the Prosecutors
for the Trial of the said Prosecution this present
Session, but being disappointed therein, this
Deponent inquired the reason there of when he was
informed that he this Deponent should have given
Notice to the said Prosecutors, And this Deponent
further saith, that the reason of his neglecting
so to do,ingarose intirely from his Ignorance of
the practice of this Honorable Court, And
this Deponent further saith that Charles
Stewart
< no role > is a Material Witness on his behalf
and since this Deponent was informed he should
have given Notice as aforesaid he has been very
diligent in searching after the said Charles
