MIDDLESEX .


AT the General quarter Sessions of the Peace of our Lord
the King, holden in and for the County of Middlesex , at the Session-
House for the said County, (on Monday in the week next after the feast of the
Epiphany to wit the 8th Day of January- in the Thirty eight-
Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third, King of
Great Britain, Etc. Before William Mainwaring< no role > , William Bleamire< no role >
Rupert Clarke< no role > , Samuel Tolfrey< no role >
Esquires, and others their Fellows, Justices of our said Lord the King,
assigned to keep the Peace in County aforesaid; and also to hear and
determine divers Felonies, Trespasses and other Misdemeanours com-
mitted in the same County.

Whereas Henry Turner< no role > of panton Street Pawnbroker Did at the last General
Sessions of the Peace held in and for this County Exhibit his Petition and Appeal setting forth
That He was on or about the Third day of November last Convicted in the Penalty of Five
Pounds by Henry James Pye< no role > Esquire one of the Justices of the Peace for the said County upon an
Information Exhibited and prosecuted by James Stallwood< no role > charging that the Petitioner
did in panton Street in the said County on the Fourth day of October last take and
receive of John Adams< no role > on redeeming the therein after mentioned the Sum of Six pence
by way of profit upon Thirteen shillings on the Thirtieth day of August last past lent upon
a Pledge of a pair of Silver Buckles to the said John Adams< no role > Contrary to the Statute Etc
whereby the Petitioner conceived himself aggrieved; which said appeal stood duly adjourned
until this Sessions Now the said appeal coming on to be heard and the said Henry James
Pye
< no role > Esqr. being solemnly called to come forth and support the said Conviction but not appearing
Session for hearing and determining the said appeal at this present Session had been
personally served upon the said Henry James Pye< no role > It is Ordered that the said
Conviction be and the same is hereby Quashed.
