Sheweth
That your Petitioner was on the eighth
Day of November last convicted by and before
Patrick
Colquhoun< no role >
Esquire
one of his Majesty's Justices of
the County
of Middlesex for that he did on the first
day of November aforesaid play at a certain game
under the Denomination of the Game of Hazard and
adjudged to pay the penalty of £50.
That your Petitioner feels himself
aggrieved by such Judgement and submits to your
Worships he hath a good and substantial Defence to
the same and humbly prays.
Your Worships will
permit your Petitioner to appeal
against such conviction and that
such appeal may be heard on the
next day of appeals.
And your Petitioner as in Duty bound
will ever pray it.
