MIDDLESEX .


At the General Quarter Session of the Peace
of our Lord the King, holden in and for the
County of Middlesex , at the Session-House for the said
County,() on Monday in
the Week next after the feast of the Epiphany to wit the Ninth Day of January
in the Thirty seventh Year of the Reign of our
Sovereign Lord George the Third, King of Great
Britain, Etc. Before William Mainwaring< no role >
William Bleamire< no role > , Rupert Clark< no role > , David Dean< no role >
Esquires, and others their Fellows, Justices of our said
Lord the King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County
aforesaid; and also to hear and determine divers
Felonies, Trespasses, and other Misdemeanours com-
mitted in the same County.

WHEREAS the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of St. Dunstan
in the West in the City of London did at the last General Session of the Peace held in
and for this County Exhibit their Petition and Appeal setting forth That by virtue of a
Warrant or Order under the Hands and Seals of G. Mercer and J. Mercer Esquires
two of His Majestys Justices of the Peace for the County of Middlesex (one whereof being
of the Quorum) bearing date the Tenth day of November last Mary Ann Hodge< no role >
Singlewoman was removed and conveyed from and out of the Parish of Saint
Marylebone in the County of Middlesex to the Parish of Saint Dunstan in the West
in the City of London ; whereby the Petitioners conceived themselves aggrieved
which said Appeal stood duly adjourned until this Session

NOW, upon hearing the said Appeal, and what hath been alledged by the respective
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parishes their Counsel and Witnesses
in and concerning the Premises. IT IS ORDERED, that the said Appeal be, and the
same is hereby dismissed, and that the said Order of the said two Justices be, and the same is
hereby confirmed; And IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Dunstan in the West do maintain
and provide for the said Mary Ann Hodges< no role >
until they can free themselves from the Charge thereof by due course of Law.
