AT the GeneralSession of the Peace of our
Lord the King, holden in and for the County of Middlesex , at
the Session House for the said County, ()
on Monday the TwelfthDay of September in
the Thirty sixthYear of Reign of our Sovereign
Lord GEORGE The Third, King of Great Britain, Etc. Before
William Mainwaring< no role > , William Bleamire< no role > , David Deane< no role >
John Hole< no role >
Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our said Lord the
King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County aforesaid; and
also to hear and determine divers Felonies, Trespasses, and other
Misdemeanours committed in the same County

Whereas Robert Pearce< no role > of the New "Road in the Parish of Saint Marylebone in the
and County Stone Mason did at the last General Quarter Session of the peace held in and for this
County Exhibit his Petition and appeal setting forth That by virtue of an order of Filiation or
Maintenance under the Hands and Seals of John Scott< no role > and Nathaniel Conant< no role > Esquires two of His
Majestys Justices of the peace for the County of Middlesex (one Whereof is of the Quorum) bearing
date the 16th day of June last The petitioner was ordered to pay to the Churchwardens and Overseers
of the Parish of Saint Pancras or to some or one of them the Sum of £2.18..0 for and towards the
lying in of one Sarah Bidder< no role > Singlewoman of a Male Bastard Child with which she was delivered
on the 12th. day of April last at the Workhouse in the said Parish and for the maintenance of the
said Bastard Child to the time of making the said Order. That the petitioner by the said
order of Filiation or Maintenance was also ordered to pay to the said Churchwardens and
Overseers of the poor of the said parish of Saint Pancras for the time being or to some or one of
them the Sum of Two shillings Weekly and every Week from that time for and towards the
keeping sustentation and maintenance of the said Bastard Child for and during so long time
the said Bastard Child should be chargeable to the said Parish of Saint Pancras ; whereby the
Petitioner conceived himself aggreived which said appeal stood duly adjourned until this Sessions
Now upon hearing the said appeal and what hath been alledged by the respective Parties their
Counsel and Witnesses in and Concerning the Premises It is Ordered that the said Appeal
be and the same is hereby dismissed and that the said Order of the said two Justices be and
the same is hereby Confirmed.
