MIDDLESEX


AT the GeneralSession of the Peace
of our Lord the King, holden in and for the
County of Middlesex , at the Session-House for the said
County, () on Monday
the Twelfth Day of September
in the Thirty sixth Year of the Regin of our
Sovereign Lord George the Third, King of Great
Britain, Etc.Before William Mainwaring< no role > , William
Bleamire
< no role > , David Dean< no role > , John Hole< no role >
Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our Said
Lord the King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County
aforesaid: and also to hear and determine divers
Felonies, Trespasses, and other Misdemeanours com-
mitted in the Same County.

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint Mary
White Chapel in the County aforesaid did at the last General Quarter Session of the peace held in
and for this County Exhibit their petition and appeal setting forth That by virtue of a pass
warrant or Order under the Hands and Seals of George Storey< no role > and John Staples< no role > Esquires two
of His Majesty's Justices of the peace in and for the County of Middlesex aforesaid one whereof
being the quorum) bearing date the twenty third day of May 1796. Catherine Carter< no role > the
Widow of Samuel Carter< no role > deceased was removed and conveyed from and out of the Hamlet
of Ratcliff in the parish of Saint Dunstan Stepney inthe County of Middlesex to the said
parish of Saint Mary White Chapel as the place of the last legal settlement of the said
Catherine carter< no role > , whereby the petitioners conceived themselves aggrieved which said
Appeal stood duly adjourned, until this Session

Now, upon hearing the said Appeal, and what hath been alledged by the respective
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parishes, their Counsel and Witnesses in
and concerning the Premises, IT IS ORDERED, that the said Appeal be, and the same is
hereby allowed, an the said Order of the said two Justices is hereby vacated and set aside:
and IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the said Parish of Saint Mary White Chaple do forthwith convey and
deliver back the said Catherine Carter< no role >
(together with a Copy of this Order) unto the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the saidParish Hamlet of Ratcliff who are hereby required to
receive and provide for the said Catherine Carter< no role >
until they can free themselves from the Charge thereof by due course of Law.
