To the Worshipful His Majesty's Justices of
the Peace acting in and for the County of Middlesex in
General Quarter Session of the Peace for the said County
Assembled.

The Humble Petition and Appeal of
Joseph Atkinson< no role > of the Parish of Saint Paul Covent
Garden in the County of Middlesex Gentleman

Sheweth


That by a certain Conviction under the Hand and Seal
of Aaron Graham< no role > Esquire One
of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County of Middlesex
bearing date the twenty first day of May One Thousand Seven
hundred and Ninety Six made on the Information of one Theophilus
Bell
< no role > is of the Parish of Saint Pancras in the said County of
Middlesex Gentleman Your Petitioner was convicted as therein
alledged for that your Petitioner on the fifteenth day of April
One Thousand seven hundred and Ninety six in the Parish of
Saint Paul Covent Garden in the said County of Middlesex
did set up maintain and keep a certain Frandulent Game to
be determined by the Chance of Dice under the Denomination
of the Game of Hazard against the form of the Statute in such
Case made and provided and the said Justice did adjudge
Year Petitioner to forfeit for the Offence supposed to be Committee
by your Petitioner the Sum of Two Hundred Pounds

That your Petitioner thinks himself aggrieved
the Judgment of the said Justice and therefore

your Worships at this present General Quarter
Session of the Peace against the Judgment of the
said Justice and doth Pray such Relief in
the Premisses as to your Worships shall seem
