Shirley
< no role > Post Boy to Mr. Clemmitt of
Piccadilly and John Sayer< no role > of Bow Street
Officer and John Miller< no role > of the same place
Officer taken before me this 20th. day of
October 1795

Who being upon Oath Saith and first the said Andrew
Staley
< no role > for himself saith that on Thursday Right last about
Six o'Clock as he was travelling in a Port Chaire over
Hounslow Heath he was [..] attacked bya Single
Highwayman between Butchers Grove and Cranford Birds
put upon this Informant presenting first a Pistol and
next a Blunder butt he rode off And William Shirley< no role >
for himself saith that he drove said Chaire at this time that
said Highwayman presented a pistol at him and precessing
Mr. Maley was determined not to be robbed and presenting
a Blunderbuss at him he at length rode of and crossing
the Ditch his Horse Fell and he was dismounted that
this Infomant also dismounted and attempted to take
him but the Highwayman presenting a Pistol he with
drew and then seemed the House on which he rode
that the Highwayman appeared to have a Brown great
Coat a Waistes at resembling that now produced and the
left side of his Horse appeared to have been violently
Spuned but not the right side And John Sayers< no role > for
himself saith that understanding that William Lancaster< no role >
Landlord of the Compasses Public House at Low Crop had
find said Horse of Mr Robson in Little Brittain he
last Night apprehend said Lancaster and in his House
