The Information of James Pegler< no role > of Chatham Gardens
in the Parish of Saint Leonard Shoreditch in the
County of Middlesex Book seller and Ann< no role > the Wife of
William Clarke< no role > of the same Place Watchehand Piercer
Taken on Oath before us two of His Majesty's Justices
of the Peace in and for the said County this 26th. day
of September 1795.

The said James Pegler< no role > saith That he received Information
that a Private Lottery or Little Go was drawing at the
House of one Shenton or Mount row in the Parish of Saint
James Clerkenwell in the said County. That this
Informant went there on Friday Night the seventh day
of August last and made Insurances with the Defendant
Samuel Sheen< no role > of the following Numbers to wit Numbers
4-17-148-979-933-984-985-986-987-
and paid Thirteen Shillings for the same to the said Samuel
Sheen
< no role > And this Informant saith That he did not wait
till the Lottery began drawing that Night.

The the said Ann Clarke< no role > saith That she went to the
said House in Mount Row aforesaid on the said seventh
day of August last and two certain Lottery Wheels stood
upon a Table in the said House That a Man named James
Freegrove
< no role > Stood and called out the Blanks and Prizes
as they were drawn out of one of the said Wheels That
the said Samuel Sheen< no role > wrote them down in a Book
and one Elizabeth Moody< no role > drew the Papers each being tied
with a string out of the blank and Prize Wheel That
a Woman whose Name is unknown to this Examinant
drew the Numbers out of the other "Wheel and one John
Perkins
< no role > out the strings that were tied round the Papers
that were drawn as the same were drawn out opened the Papers and called one
the Numbers That she the said Examinant saw
some of the People then present at the said drawing pay
some Money That she this Examinant went in and
out of the Room and staid about an Rour and a Ralf
That the said Samuel Sheen< no role > and freeLovegrove took down
the Insurances and Sheen received the Money and
