The Court pursuant to the Resolution of the
last Session proceeded to the Election of a Surgeon
and Apothecary
to the prisons belongg to this County
When Mr. Webb & Mr Good,Mr. Burroughs
and Mr Walfordoffered themselves as Candidates for
the said Office.
Mr Walford was proposed by Thomas Fellows< no role >
Esqr
: as a proper person to be appointed
And Rupert Clarke< no role >
Esqr
. proposed Mr Burrows
in like Manner.
Whereupon the Court proceeded & ballot which
Commenced at Eleven oClock and Closed at One
oClock when upon casting up the numbers it
appeared That Twenty Eight Justices had Voted for
Mr Webb, Seventeen for Mr Good, Six for
Mr Burroughs, and One for Mr Walford
Whereupon Mr Webb was declared duly elected
& being called in was acquainted by the Chairman
with his Election
