To the Worshipful His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the
County of Middlesex in their General Session of the Peace
assembled

The Humble Petition and Appeal of the
Overseers of the Poor of the Precinct of St.
Catherine in the County of Middlesex

Sheweth


That by Virtue of a Warrant or Order under the
Hands and Seals of the Revd. Herbert Mary D.D. and
Wm. Blackmore< no role > Esqr. two of his Majesty's Justices of
the Peace for the County of Middlesex bearing date the
Thirty first day of October last, Susannah Burges< no role >
Widow and her Six Children namely Mary Ann< no role > aged
Sixteen Years or thereabouts, Esther< no role > aged Ten Years or
thereabouts, Margaret< no role > aged Eight Years or thereabouts,
Thomas< no role > , aged Six Years or thereabouts, Elizabeth< no role > aged
Four years or thereabouts, were removed from the Parish
of St. George in the County of Middlesex to the said
Precinct of St. Catherine as the Place of their last
legal Settlement

That your Petitioners conceiving themselves
aggrieved by the said Warrant or orders
Do. humbly Appeal against the same
And pray that your Worships will be
pleased to appoint a Day in the next
General Quarter Sessions that all
Parties concerned may attend to hear
and abide the Judgement & Determination
of this Court touching the said Appeal

And your Petitioners shall ever pray Etc
