have taken all necessary Preparatory Measures in their
Power for the Repair of the said Highway as far as the
present Season will Permit by opening the water courses
to drain the said Highway and by giving Notices to the
Occupiers of Lands adjoining the same to Scour and
cleanse the Ditches on the sides thereof and this Deponent
further saith that a Number of Laborers are now employed
in Putting the said Highway in a Proper State for the reparation
thereof and that no Time has been last in searching for
Gravel and Material for the necessary Repairs of the
same And this Deponent saith that as the Charges and
Expences of repairing the said Highway will Amount to
a very considerable Sum of Money (and much more
than the whole Produce of the Highway Rate or Composition
for the Repairs of the High ways of the said Parish) a Vestry
is called and in tended to be holden on Wednesday the
Eleventh day of December instant in the said Parish for
the Purpose of taking into Consideration the repairs of
the said Highway called Maiden Lane and to Provide
for the Charges and Expences attending the same.
