for himself saith that
the be ocurrintance, of the Assault with whith he is
charged are as follows That in September 1792
this Defendants Ship was dropping up the river
to her Mon [..] ep whee the said Prosecutor went or
board to barjair with the Men at which time
Defendant was in shore and on his return to the
Ship found the said Prosecutor quarelling with
the book and Making so ment no [..] as considerbly
to interrupt the Ship Company in so much that
Defendant fund it necessary to insist upon his
leaving the Ship [..] on board of wheit he [..] had
ho Busniss the Defendant positively denies Leving
over struck the said Prosecutor or attempted to assault
hin and Mary respecteble Witnesses are reedy or
behalf of the said Defendant to cons [..] orete the same.
