a certain part of the common Kings Highway situate in
the said Parish between a certain place called Battle Bridge
and the Hamlet of Highgate called or known by the name
of Maiden Lane containing in length 3 Miles and in
Breadth 30 Feet, the same being very ruinous miry [..]
broken and in great decay for want of due reparation and
amendment: On the 1st. day of March 1790 and containing
afterwards until the taking the Inquisition
