The Order of William Hitchiner< no role > and David Walker< no role >
Esquires two of his Majesty's Justices of
the Peace in and for the said County of Middlesex and Liberty of Westminster one whereof is
of the Quorum, and both residing next unto the Limits
of the Parish Church [..] of the Parish of St Clement Danes
in the said County and Liberty
made the Tenth Day of September in the
Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and
Ninety three
concerning a Male
Bastard Child, lately born in the parish of St Clement Danes
aforesaid, of the Body of
Ann Hanlon< no role > Single Woman.

WHEREAS it hath appeared unto us the said Justices, as well upon the Complaint
of the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St.
Clement Danes as upon the Oath of the said Ann Hanlon
that the the said Ann Hanlon on the nineteenth Day of
July 1792 now last past,was delivered of a Male Bastard Child, at the House of Mrs.
Hanlon her Mother inthe said Bennetts Court in the said parish of St Clement Danes in the said
County & Liberty and that the said Male Bastard Child islikely tobe come chargeable
to the said Parish and further, that Stephen Garner now or late
an Apprentice to Mr. Pearson of Drury Lane in the said County did beget the said
Bastard Child on the Body of her the said Ann Hanlon and Whereas
the said Stephen Garner< no role > hath appeared before as but not shewed any
sufficient cause why he the said Stephen Garner< no role > should not be
there puted Father of the said Bastard Child
We therefore, upon Examination of the Cause and Circumstance of the Premises, as
well upon the Oath of the said Ann Hanlon as otherwise, do hereby
adjudge him the said Stephen Garner to be the reputed Father of the
said Bastard Child.

And thereupon we do order, as well for the better Relief of the said Parish of St.
Clement Danes as for the Sustentation and Relief of the said Bastard Child, that
the said Stephen [..] Garner< no role > shall and do forthwith, upon Notice of this our Order,
pay or cause it to be paid to the said Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Parish of St. Clement Danes or to some or one of them, the Sum of eight shillgs. [..]
for and towardsthe Lying in of the saidandthe Main
tenance of the said Bastard Child from the 29th day of July now last past to the Time of making this our Order:

And we do also hereby further order, that the said Stephen Garner< no role > shall likewise
pay, or cause to be paid, to the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish for the Time being, or to some or one of them, the Sum of
Weekly and every Week from the present Time, for and towards the
Keeping, Sustentation, and Maintenance of the said Bastard Child, for and during so long
Time as the said Bastard Child shall be chargeable to the said Parish

And we do further order, that the saidshall also pay
or cause to be paid to the said Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
for the Time being, or to some or one of them, the Sum of
Weekly and every Week, so long as the said Bastard Child
shall be chargeable to the saidin cae the shall not nurse
and take care of the said Child herself

Given under our Hands and Seals the Day and Year first above written. And we do
further Order that the said Stephen Garner< no role > shall and do forthwith upon night of
this our Order (on a true Copy thereof being first delivered to him) give
Security to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said parish
of St. Clement Danes for the future Maintenance of the said [..] Male Bastard
Child Given under our hands and Seals the day and year first above
written
