To the worshipful his Majestys Justices of the
Peace for the County of Middlesex in their
General Quarter Session of the Peace assembled

The humble Petition of James
Dalbiac

Sheweth


That your Petitioner was on or about the
thirteenth Day of February last convicted before Nathl.
Conant
< no role > Esq one of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for
the County of Middlesex for purchasing a certain Pair of
coloured Leather Gloves subject to the Stamp Duties
imposed by the Statute in such Case made and provided
without the Stamp Ticket directed by Law to be
affixed to the same being so affixed as the Law directs
contrary to the Statute Etc And your Petitioner was
Meland and adjudged to have forfeited for his said
Offence the Sum of the Pounds Whereby your
Petitioner conceives himself to be aggrieved

Your Petr. therefore humbly begs
have to appeal to this honourable
Court against the said Conviction
and that a Day may be appointed
in this present Session for the
hearing and determining thereof

And your Petitioner
shall ever pray Etc
