Information of John Richardson< no role > of Tottenham
Victualler Who on his Oath Charges Catherine Brown< no role >
brought before Me One of his Majestys Justices of the
Peace on Suspicion of having feloniously taken and
carried away Three Pewter Alehouse Potts engraves
with his Name and Sign (this Morning about seven
O Clock) from the Ralls of the Front of the House of
John Gilman< no role > Esqr in Tottenham aforesaid being placed
these purposely by the sd Gilmars Servants in
Order for the sd Richardsons to Collect together
it being customary so to do every Morning.

The sd Brown after having so taken away the
said Potts was apprehended at Clapton in the sd
County in Company with a Woman named Elizabeth
Stanley
< no role > supposd to be an Accomplice with the sd
Brown but who escaped; the sd Potts being produced
were sworn by this Informant to be his Property.

Evidence

Joseph Hicks< no role > of Clapton Victualler on his Oath sayeth that
the above mentioned Elizabeth Stanley< no role > so named by
the sd Brown Came to his Door and informed him
that the sd Brown had some Pewter Potts Concealed
about her and he suspecting that the sd Potts might
be his Property having lost a great many, and he
seeing the sd Richardsons Name upon One of the sd
Potts ordered her unto Custody of ye Constable and on further
search Two more Potts were found in her Possession
on which she was brought as abovementioned to
be further examined and dealt with according
to Law
