MIDDLESEX .


AT the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our
Lord the King, holden in and for the County of Middlesex , at
the Session-House for the Said County, ()
on Monday the Eighteenth Day of July in the
Thirty firstYear of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord
GEORGE the Third, King of Great Britain, Etc. Before William
Mainwaring
< no role > , William Bleamire< no role > , Charles Sheppard< no role > , Edward Read< no role >
Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our Said Lord the
King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County aforesaid; and
also to hear and determine divers Felonies, Trespasses, and other
Misdemeanours committed in the same County

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the Parish of Cheadle in the
County of Stafford Have at this present Session Exhibited their Petition and Appeal setting forth
That by an Order under the Hands and Seals of John Spitter< no role > and J.J. Cotton Esquires two of His
Majestys Justices of the Peace for the said County of Middlesex bearing date the day of 1791
Elizabeth Barnes< no role > the Widow of John Barnes< no role > deceased and her three Children namely John< no role > aged Four
Years and upwards William< no role > aged Three Years and Upwards and Catherine< no role > aged One Year and upwards
were removed and conveyed from the Parish of Edmonton in the said County of Middlesex to the said Parish
of Cheadle in the said County of Stafford as the place of their last legal settlement whereas the said
Paupers did not nor did any or either of them ever gain any Settlement in the said Parish of Cheadle
whereby the Petitioners conceived themselves aggrieved, Now upon hearing the said Appeal and what
hath been Alledged by the respective Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said Parishes their
Counsel and Witnesses in and concerning the Premises It is Ordered that the said Appeal be and the
same is hereby allowed and the said Order of the said two Justices is hereby vacated and set aside and It
is further Ordered that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said Parish of Cheadle do
forthwith convey and deliver back the said Elizabeth Barnes< no role > and her said three Children together with
a Copy of this Order) unto the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said Parish of Edmonton
who are hereby required to receive and provide for the said Elizabeth Barnes< no role > and her said three
Children until they can free themselves from the charge thereof by due course of Law and It is further
Ordered that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said Parish of Edmonton do
forthwith pay or cause to be paid unto the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said
Parish of Cheadle the Sum offor their Charges
and Expences in relieving and maintaining the said Elizabeth Barnes< no role > and her said three
Children since their said Removal and also the Sum of Fifteen Pounds and Fifteen shillings for
and towards the Charges and Expences by them incurred in prosecuting the said Appeal
