Middlesex to wit


The Information of Jane Moran< no role > Wife of
James Moran< no role > of the Rose and Crown Ale house
Bread Street St Giles Victualler taken before this 19th
March 1791.

Who Being on Oath says that this Afternoon about
half past four o Clock two Persons now present who call themselves
Jeremiah Norton< no role > and Helen Johnson< no role > came to here House together
when they requested to have Tea which she gave them together
with three Silver tea Spoons that when said two persons were
going away she requested her reckening amounting to thirteen
pence three fartheing which they declined paying saying
they had no Money that this informant finding they had no
Money to pay the reckening suffered them to go away but
in about two Minutes after they were gone out perceiving
two of her tea spoons were gone she caused them to be followed
and brought book that this Informant is very sure that the
said two tea Spoons were Stolen by the said two persons Jeremiah
Norton
< no role > and Helen Johnson for that No other person but her Maid
Servant (who went to ask them whether they wanted any
water) was in said Room from the time of the tea Spoons
being given them with the tea things, to the time of that informations
missing them
