Thomas Carpenter< no role > of the new Road in the Parish of Saint Mary le bone
in the County of Middlesex Messenger to the Directors and Guardians of
the poor of the said Parish maketh Oath and Saith that Catharine Chittenden< no role >
of the said Parish Singlewoman having by her Voluntary Examination in
Writing upon Oath before Thomas Cottins< no role > Esquire one of his Majesty's Justices of
the peace in and for the said County declared herself to be with Child likely to
be Com a Bastard and Chargeable to the said Parish and that Edward Brown< no role >
of Castle Street East in the Said Parish did leget the said Child the said Justice
issued his Warrant for apprehending the said Edward Brown< no role > and he being
apprehended thereon William Smith< no role > of Margaret Street in the said Parish of
Saint Mary le bone Coach Maker and James Smith< no role > of Marshall Street Carnaby
Market in the said County Fruiterer on the third day of January now left part
entered into the usual recognizance on such Occasions for the Appearance of
the said Edward Brown< no role > at the then next General Quarter Session of the Peace
for the said County and this Deponent further Saith that the said Catharine
Chittenden is not yet delivered of the said Child and that on the Seventeenth day of
February instant he served the said William Smith< no role > with the Notice hereunto
annexed by delivering a true Copy then of to him at his House in Margaret
Street aforesaid and that he this Deponent did on the said Seventeenth
day of February also Serve the said James smith< no role > with the Notice hereunto
annexed by delivering to the wife of the said James Smith< no role > a true Copy
thereof at his House in Marshal Street aforesaid
