King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County aforesaid; and
also to hear and determine divers Felonies, Trespasses, and other
Misdemeanours Committed in the same County
Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of St James
within
the Liberty of Westminster
in the said County Have at this present Session Exhibited their
Petition and appeal setting forth That by virtue of an Order under the Hands and Seals of

Knight and J. Reading Esquire two of His Majestys Justices of
the Peace
in and for the County of Middlesex
aforesaid (one where of being of the Quorum)

Suiglewoman
was
removed and conveyed from the Parish of Saint Clement danes
in the County of Middlesex
to the said Parish of Saint James
as the place of her last legal Settlement whereby the
Petitioners conceived themselves Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the
said Parishes their Counsel and Witnesses in and concerning the Premises It is
Ordered that the said Appeal be and the same is hereby allowed and the said
Order of the said two Justices is hereby vacated and set aside and It is further
Ordered that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said Parish of Saint
James Westminster
do forthwith convey and deliver back the said Janett Cartwright
together with a Copy of this Order unto the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of
the said Parish of saint Clement danes who are hereby required to receive and
provide for the said Janett Cartwight until they can free themselves from the
charge thereof by due course of Law.
