MIDDLESEX .


At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our
Lord the King, holden in and for the County of Middlesex , at
the Session-House for the said County,()
on Mondaythe FifthDay of Julyin the
ThirtiethYear of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord.
GEORGE the Third, King of Great Britain, Etc. Before William
Mainwaring

Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our said Lord the
King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County aforesaid; and
also to hear and determine divers Felonies, Trespasses, and other
Misdemeanours committed in the same County

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint Margaret
in the City of Westminster in the said County Did at the [..] General Quarter Session of
the Peace held in and for the said County in the Month of January last Exhibit their Petition
and Appeal setting forth That by Virtue of an Order under the hands and Seals of John
Willock
< no role > and James N. Thorpe Esquires two of His Majestys Justices of the Peace acting
in and for the City and Liberty. of Westminster (one whereof being of the Quorum) bearing
Date the 4th. day of January 1790. Ann Cockburn< no role > Singlewoman was removed and Conveyed
from and out of the Parish of Saint James within the Liberty of Westminster and
County of Middlesex to the said Parish of Saint Margaret as the place of her last legal
Settlement whereby the Petitioners conceive themselves aggrieved which said Appeal stood duly adjourned until this Session Now upon hearing
the said Appeal and what hath been alledged by the respective Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the said Parishes their Counsel and Witnesses in and Concerning
the Premises It is Ordered that the said Appeal be and the same is hereby allowed
and the said Order of the said two Justices is hereby Vacated and set aside And it
is further Ordered that the Church wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish
of Saint Margaret Westminster do forthwith convey and deliver back the said Ann-
Cockburn (together with a Copy of this Order) unto the Churchwardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint James Westminster who are hereby required to
receive and provide for the said Ann Cockburn< no role > until they can free themselves from
the Charge thereof by due course of Law.
