Benjamin Powell< no role > Messenger to the Chruchwardens and Overseers
of the poor of the Parish of Saint Giles in the Fields in the
County of Middlesex maketh Oath that he hath lately made
enquiry after a Woman who is known at Present by the
name of Harriett Jackson and where Maiden name was Harriet
Mann being the same Person who on the second day of February
last in an examination in writing taken upon Oath before Philip
Dyot
< no role > Esquire one of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the
said County declared that she was on or about the Twenty eight
day of July one thousand seven hundred and Eighty eight
delivered of a male Bastard Child in the said Parish of Saint
Giles in the Fields which said Child has been captized by the
name of William John< no role > and that one william Holliday< no role >
gold and Silver Caster of Cox's court Little Britain in
City of London had gotten her with Child of the said make
Bastard Child And this deponent further South the [..]
this Present time the said Harriet Jackson< no role > otherwise House
Man lies in of another Child in the Work house of the
Parish of Saint Luke in the said County and has not been
delivered of such last mentioned child more than sixteen or
Seventeen days ago and is not at this time capable of
Appearing at the Sessions nor before two Justices to give
Evidence of the said William Holidays< no role > beig be put ative
Father of the said Male Bastard Child named William
John for the purpose of his being Adjudged such Father

Sworn in open Court at the General
Quarter Session of the Peace holden for
the County of Middlesex at the Session
House on Clerkenwell Green in the
said County on Saturday the Seventeenth
day of April 1790}
