To the Worshipfull his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for
the County of Middlesex Assembled

The humble Petition of the Churchwarden and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Swining in the County of Berks .

Sheweth
That by an Order of Removal bearing date on or about the
fifteenth day of December One thousand seven hundred and
Eighty eight under the hands and Seals of Mich Downs< no role > and
William Gowan< no role > Esquire two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
for the City and Liberty of Westminster in the County of Middlesex
whereby William Stevens< no role > Ann< no role > his Wife and their six Children to wit
Mary< no role > and Joseph< no role > Aged Ten Years Charles< no role > aged Nine Years Sarah< no role >
aged Eight Years Rose< no role > aged Six Years and Hester< no role > aged five Years
were removed and conveyed from and out of the Parish of
Saint James in the City and Liberty of Westminster to the said
Parish of [..] as the place of their last legal Settlement.

Your Petitioners think themselves much Aggrieved
by the said removal and thereby Pray leave to appeal to
the same and that a Day may be appointed in the present
Session for the hearing and determining thereof
