Indicted on the Prosecution of
for an Assault

John Howson< no role > of Grays Buildings Kingsland Road
in the County of Middlesex Gentleman Maketh Oath and
Saith that he become Bail before Davis wilmot< no role > Esquire one
of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the said County for the
above named Defendants appearance in this Honorable Court in
the Last September Sessions not doubling but that he would have
appeared as he ought to have done But the said Defendant contary
to this Deponants opinion and Belief not so appearing this Deponent
hath made the best enquiry in his power after the said Defendant
and being informed on the Thirtieth day of November last
that he resided at chint ford in the County of Essex this Deponent
went shither on that day in hope to have met with him their
but was informed by a woman who said she was the said Defendts:
wife that he was gone to Birmingham on Particular Bauness
and would not return home [..] the latter end of the present
Month of December which Information this Deponent Verily believe
to be true And this Deponent further saith that he Will continues
to are the atmost deligence and double not but that he shall be
able to being the said Depondant into this Honorable court in the
next January Sessions to answer to the said Indictment
