William Mainwaring< no role > Esquire the Chairman of the Sessions
informed the Court that some of the Society of the people called Quarkers had water
upon him since the last County day and had informed him
that they had not been able to obtain a suitable place for
the Ancient part of their account [..] familyto live in and that they
were of Opinion that the Garden Pound late in the possession
of Edward Hastwright< no role > adjoining the present House of Correction
would be a convenient and proper piece of Pound whereon
to Erect a Building for that purpose and that they would
(if it should be agreeable to His Majesty's Justice's of the
peace for the County of Middlesex ) purchase or take the
said piece of Pound upon Lease Resolved that the
consideration of this Matter be postponed till the County
day of the next Session and that notice hereof be sent in
the society of People called Quaker and that they be
desired to attend

By adjournment same day

The Committee appointed on the last County day to Carry
into Execution the Resolution of the court for raising the Sum
of £30,000 by Tontine at 4 pct. to pay for the Ground and
