To the Worshipful his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County of
Middlesex in their General Quarter Session of the Peace assembled.

The humble petition and Appeal of the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint George
Hanover Square .

Sheweth


That by virtue of a pass warrant or order & under the hands-
and Seals of William Gowan< no role > and John Clarke< no role > Esquires dated
the 23d. day of May 1785 Jane Nutkins< no role > Alias Hughes< no role > widow
of John Nutkins< no role > Alias Hughes< no role > was removed and conveyed from
thethe Parish of Saint James in the Liberty of Westminster to the said Parish of Saint-George Hanover square as the place of
the last legal settlement whereby your Petitioners think
themselves aggrieved and appeal to this court against the same

Your Petitioners therefore humbly pray relief in the
Premises and that a day in this present session may
be appointed for the hearing and determination of the
said Petition and Appeal.

And your Petitioners shall ever pray Etc.
