To the Worshipfull his majesty's Justices of the Peace
for the County of Middlesex in their General session of
the Peace assembled

The Humble Petition and appeal of the
Church wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Baverstock in the County of Wilts

Sheweth


That by virtue of an order or Pass warrant under the
Hands and Seals of J. Reading and W: Addington Esquires two
of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the said County of
middlesex (one being of the Quorum) bearing data the 7th. Day
of February One Thousand seven Hundred and Eighty five
Phoebe Lewis< no role > Daughter of Christopher Lewis< no role > aged about
Eighteen Years was removed and conveyed from and out
of the parish of Saint Clement Danes is the said County
of Middlesex to the said Parish of Baverstock as the place
of her last legal settlement

Your Petitioners conceiving themselves aggrieved
by the said order or Pass warrant of the said two
Justices Do humbly appeal against the same and
pray that the hearing and determining of the said
appeal may be adjourned untill the next General
Quarter Sessions of the Peace to be hath in and for
the said County of middlesex and that the Court will
be pleased to appoint a day in the said next Session
for the Church wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the said Parish of Saint Clement Danes and all
other Persons concerned therein to attend this Court
to hear and abide the Judgement and determination
of the said Court touching the said appeal
