County Orders October Session 1784.

Mr. Chairman having given a Chronological account
of the proceeding of Sessions [..] from Octr. Sess 1702 to the present time in respect to the erection of a
New House of Correction for this County; and recommending
thenecessity of such an erection.to the Ct. to proceed in the premes
A Motion was made That a Committee be appointed to exa-
mine the deigns already made for a house of Correction
or direct other plan or plans to be laid before them, and
that they be desired to investigate the same against the
next County day and that they trave power to call in such
professional or other Gentlemen to Assist in Elucidating
the same, as they may think necessary.

Before the question was put on the above motion It was
moved that the record or after the words House of Correction in the said
motionthe wordstand part of the motion this beingagreed
to carried in the negative A motion was madethatby way of amendment
that the word and be inserted in the above motion in the
place of the work or so left out as aforesaid this was [..]
agreed to.

A motionThe previous question was now moved vizt
that the above question so amended as aforesaid he
now feet: which was carried in the negative.

It was now moved that an advertisement be inserted in
Three times in cash of the publick papers (in which the advertisements
fromordered her this Court an usually inserted) offering [..] Premium
to any person or persons who shall producer a place or
plans of aSessionHouse of Correctionadaptedfor this
County adapted to the ground approved by the Session
for the purpose of such erection which motion being agreed to
Resolved that the premium to be given be as follows
