Prosn. of Ann Savage< no role > for
an Assault

John Brown< no role > the Deft. above named and John Shepherd< no role >
Clerk to Mr. Ashfield Solicter severally make Oath and
say and first this Deponent John Brown< no role > for himself saith
that a Bill of Indictment was found against him in september
Sessions last for a Common Assault and this Deponent Pleased
not Guilty [..] re to the same Sessions and at the same time
Put in and Justified his Bail in open Court and fully
Intended to Trye the Traverse on the same Indictment this
Present October Sessions But being quite Ignorant in such
Business and conceived that Richard savage< no role > the Father of
the above Prox. had Indicted [..] is Deponent [..] not the above
name Ann Savage< no role > as the Assault if any there was happend.
in the Shop of the said Richard Savage< no role > in Burney Street
>Saint James's whereupon this Deponent gave Instructions
to his Solicitor to Serve the Notice of Tryal on the said Richard
Savage
< no role > but inquiring into the matter found that Ann
Savage
< no role > had Indicted this Deponent and not Richard Savage< no role >

This Deponent John Shepherd< no role > for himself Saith that he
did on Wednesday the Nineteenth day of October Instant personally
Serve Mr. Richard Savage< no role > with the Notice hereunto annexed
marked It. at his Nonce in Berry Street Saint James's by
having with him a true copy thereof And did on Saturday
the Sixteenth day of October Instant personally Serve Ann
Savage
< no role > the Prosx above named with the Notice hereunto annexed
Marked (B.) by having with her above Copy Nu [..] of at her
Father Name in Berry Street aforesaid
