"An Advertisement having appeared in the public prints
"purporting that a plan or plans for an House of Corrections would be
"this day taken into Consideration and having at leisure intervals
"formed a design for such purpose Supposed it would neither be thought
"improper or unseasonable to lay seen plan before your should its merits
"at all inside it to your attention I shall be extremely happy in having
"filled up some vacant some vacant have to a good purpose and shall think
"myself highly honoured if called upon to enter into a particular Explanation
"of the design

Mr Brettingham Architect understanding that it is in
"Contemplation of His Majesty's Justices of Peace
to build a new

referred to the Committee for their Consideration and the same being
Unanimously agreed to was resolved Accordingly
