To His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County
of Middlesex in their GeneralQuarterSessions of the
Peace for the sd. County at the Session House for the said County
Assembled

The Humble Petition and Appeal of the Church Wardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the [..] Abbey Parish of
Saint Albans in the County of Hertford.

Sheweth.


That by Virtue of an Order of Settlement or Removal
under the Hands and Seals of John Rudge< no role > and Edward Gray< no role > Esquire
two of His Majesties Justices of the Peace for the sd. County of Midsex
bearing date the 17th. day of May 1784. James Painter< no role > and Elizabeth< no role >
his Wife were removed from the Parish of Edgware , Middlesex
to the said Abbey Parish of Saint Albans as the place of their
last Legal Settlement, whereby Your Petitioners conceive themselves
to be aggrieved

Therefore they humbly Appeal to this Honourable Court
against the said Order of the sd. Justices And pray this Court
to make such Order therein as to them shall seem meet

And your Petitioners shall ever Pray Etc.
