To the Church Warden and Overseers of the
Poor of the Hamlet of Hammersmith
in the Parish of Fulham in the County of Middlesex and to
the Church Wardens and Overseers of the
Poor of the Parish of Upwell
in the County of Norfolk
and to each and every of them.

UPON the Complaint of the Church Wardens and Overseers of the
Poor of the Hamlet of Hammersmith
in the County of Middlesex unto us whole Names
are hereunto set, and Seals affixed, being two of his Majesty's Justices
of the Peace in and for the said County of Middlesex
and one of us of the Quorum, that Mary Middleton< no role >
and three of her Children viz. Susannah aged
about five Years Edward aged about four
Years & William aged about three Years
did lately come to inhabit in the said Hamlet of Hammersmith
not having gained a legal Settlement there, nor
produced any Certificate owning them to be settled else-
where, and that the said Mary Middleton< no role >
Susannah < no role > Edward < no role > & William < no role > her
Children are becomelikely to be chargeable to the said
Hamlet of Hammersmith We the said
Justices upon due Proof made thereof, as well upon the Examination
of the said Mary Middleton< no role > upon Oath,
as otherwise, and likewise upon due Consideration had of the Premises,
do adjudge the same to be true ; and we do likewise adjudge, that the
lawful Settlement of them the said Mary Middleton< no role >
Susannah, Edward & William her
Children are
in the said Parish of Upwell in the said
County of Norfolk We do therefore
require you the said Church Wardens, and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Hamlet of Hammersmith or some or
one of you, to convey the said Mary Middleton< no role >
& her said Children
from and out of your said Hamlet of Hammersmith
to the said, Parish of Upwell and them
to deliver to the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or
to some or one of them, together with this our Order, or a true Copy
thereof. And we do also hereby require you the said Church Wardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Upwell
to receive and provide for them as Inhabitants of your
Parish Given under our Hands and Seals the 15th
Day of November in the Year of our Lord One Thousand
Seven Hundred and eighty three
