THE Examination of James Downing< no role > a Mariner
named in the annexed Pass Warrant, apprehended
by the Churchwarden and brought
before me, one of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace in
and for the County of Middlesex

Who upon Oath Saith, That he was bound to & Served the whole of
his Apprenticeship with they Thomas a Carpenter in the Parish of Falmouth
in the County of Cornwall & has not Since done any Act to gain a
Settlement elsewhere That he hath a Wife named Mary< no role > & a Child named
Elizabeth< no role > Aged four Years the lawful I sone of this Deponent by his
Said Wife to whom he was lawfully married
