To the Constable of the Parish of St. Botolph without Aldgate , in
the County of Middlesex , or the Headborough there: And also
to the Contractor employed for the passing and conveying of
Rogues and Vagabonds within the said County; and to all
Constables and other Officers whom it may concern, to receive
and convey; and to the Church-wardens, Chapel-wardens, or
Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Falmouth
in the County of Cornwall
or either of them to receive and obey.

WHEREAS James Downing< no role > a Mariner was

apprehended in the Parish of St. Botolph without Aldgate , aforesaid as a Vagabond
Videlicit Wandering abroad & begging there
together with his Wife Mary < no role > & Child Elizabeth< no role > aged four Yeare

and upon Examination of the said James Downing< no role > taken
before me in Writing, and upon Oath; which Examination is hereunto annexed
it doth appear that his last legal Settlement is at Falmouth in the County of
Cornwall aforesaid: These are therefore to require you the said
Constable, or other Officer to convey the said James Downing< no role > & his said Wife
& Child to the House of Correction at Clerkenwell , from
whence the said Contractor is to convey them to the Parish of
that being the first Parish in the next
Precinct, through which they ought to pass in the direct Way to the said Parish
of Falmouth to which Parish they are
to be sent, and to deliver them to the Constable, or other Officer of such Parish
in such next Precinct, together with this Pass, and the Duplicate of the Examination
of the said James Downing< no role > taking his Receipt for the same: And
the said James Downing< no role > & his sd Wife & Child are to be thence
conveyed on in the like Manner to the said Parish of Falmouth
there to be delivered to some Church-warden, Chapel-warden, or Overseer of the
Poor of the same Parish, to be there provided for according to Law. And you the
said Church-warden, Chapel-warden, or Overseer of the Poor are hereby required
to receive the said Person and provide for them as aforesaid. Given under my
