Parliament passed in the Twenty first Year of the Reign of his late Majesty King George the Second
intilled An Act to explain and Amend an Act passed in the fourteenth Year of his said Majesty's
Reign intilled An Act for the preservation of the Public Roads in that part of Great Britain called
England and so much of an Act passed in the Third Year of the Reign of King William and Queen Mary
intilled An Act for the better repairing and Amending the Highways and for settling the Rates for the Carriage
of Goods as relates to the settling the Rates of the Carriage of Goods" Do here by Certify that his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the said County of Dorset
Assembled at the General Quarter Sessions of the Peace held in and for the said County on Tuesday the
Twenty fourth Day of April Instant in Pursuance of the several Statutes in that case made and provided did
rate and Assess the Price of all Land Carriage of Goods whatsoever to be brought in the said County
of Dorset by any Common Waggon or Carrier for the Year ensuing at the Rates or Prices following
(that is to say)

For the Carriage of every Hundred weight of Goods from London to the Towns of Cranborne ,
Wimborne Minster Blandford and Shaston in the said County the sum of five Shillings and
Sixpence for every Hundred weight and so in proportion for agreater or less quantity than One Hundred wt.
and so from each or those places to London .

For every Hundred weight of Goods from London to the Towns of Cerne Abbas , Dorchester
and Sherborne in the said County or from those places to London the Sum of Six Shillings for each
Hundred weight and so in proportion for a greater or less Quantity than One Hundred weight.

For every Hundred weight of Goods from London to the owns of Bridport , Broadwinsor
and Charmouth in the said County or from those places to London the Sum of Seven Shillings for each,
Hundred weight and so in proportion [..] a greater or less Quantity than one Hundred Weight
