Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Stoke
Lacey in the County of Hertford
Sheweth
That by an Order or Pass Warrant bearing Date the
twenty Second Day of November last under the hands and

one whereof being of the Quorum
Made, upon the Complaint of the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Harrow
on the hill
in the said County of Middlesex

and her two Bastard Children Vizt

about five years of Age and

five Months old had come to Inhabit in the said
Parish of Harrow on the hill
not having

legal Settlement there And that the said

and her two Children were then Chargeable to
the said Parish of Harrow on the hill
, The said two Justices
Did adjudge the same to be true And likewise Adjudged
that the lawful Settlement of them the said

and her said two Children was in the said Parish of
Stoke
Lacey in the said County of Hertford and therefore
required the said Churchwardens and Overseers of the
Poor of the said Parish of Harrow on the hill
to convey the

and her two Children for nurture.
only from and out of the said Parish of Harwes on
the hill to the said Parish of Stoke Lacy
and them
to deliver to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the
Poor there and the Churchwardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the said Parish of Stoke
Lacey were by the
Same Order required to receive and provide for

Inhabitants of their said Parish

and Act said two
Children being accordingly concerned by the said Parish of
Stoke
Lacey your Petitioners conceive themselves aggrieved
by the said Adjudication and Order Particularly as
Faces concerns the Settlements of the said Children
of the said Sarah Farley< no role >
which you Petitioners humbly
apprehend and are advised is not in the said Parish of Stoke
Lacey
Your Petitioners therefore humbly appeal against the said
Order Only as for as concerns the Settlement of the said
two Children of the said Sarah Farley< no role >
and pray that the
part thereof may be Quatled And that this Honourable Court
will be pleased to make such Farther And that this Honourable Court
will be pleased to make such further Order in the Premises as to them
shall seem meet
