MIDDLESEX .


AT the GeneralSession of the Peace
of our Lord the King, holden in and for the County
of Middlesex , at Hicks-Hall , in Saint John-Street ,
(by adjournment) on Thursday the ninth
Day of December in the twentieth Year of the
Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third, King
of Great Britain, Etc. Before Sir John Hawkins< no role >
Knight the Reverend Sir George Booth< no role > Baronet
Thomas Brooksbank< no role > William Mainwaring< no role >
Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our Said
Lord the King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County
aforesaid; and also to hear and determine divers Felonies,
Trespasses, and other Misdemeanours committed in the
same County

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the parish of Saint
George Bloomsbury in the said County Have at this present Session Exhibited their
Petition and Appeal setting forth That by Virtue of a Pass Warrant or Order under the
hands and Seals of David Walker< no role > and W. Gregson Esquire two of his Majesty's Justices
of the peace and for the said County (one whereof is of the Quorum) bearing date the tenth
day of November last Ann Caines< no role > wife of James Caines< no role > (gone from her) and their two
Children namely Winifred aged< no role > three years and Ann < no role > aged fourteen months were
removed and conveyed from and out of the parish of Saint Andrew Holborn above the
Bars in the said County to the said parish of Saint George Bloomsbury as the place of
the last legal settlement of the said James Caines< no role > and of his said wife and two children
whereby the Petitioners conceived themselves aggrieved Now upon hearing the said Appeal
in the presence and hearing of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the parish of
Saint Andrew Holborn above the Bars and they consenting by their Counsells the
allowing the said Appeal It is ordered that the said appeal be and the same is hereby
allowed and the said Pass Warrant an Order of the said two Justices is hereby vacated and
set aside and It is further ordered that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor
of the parish of Saint George Bloomsbury do forthwith convey and deliver back the said
Ann Caines and her said two children (together with a copy of this order) unto the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the parish of Saint Andrew Holborn above
Bars or to some or one of them who are hereby required to receive and provide for
the said Ann Caines and her said two children until they can for themselves from
the charge thereof by due course of Law
