overseers of the poor of the parish of Saint Olave in Southwark
in
the County of Surrey
Sheweth.
That by a Warrant or order of removal dated the ninth
day of September last under the hands and Seals of

the Wife

(who by such
Warrant is said to have lately deserted and left her) and
her two Children Vizt
Mary Harris< no role >
aged four Years and
Esther Harris< no role >
aged Eight Months are removed from the
parish of Saint George
in Middlesex
to the said parish of
Saint Olave in Southwark
, where they are now Chargeable
That the said George Harris< no role >
the husband of the
said Sarah Harris< no role >
and father of the said two Children
Marry Harris and Esther Harris having rented a house
in Fox's Lane
in the parish of Saint paul Shadwell
in the County of Middlesex
your petitioners humbly
Apprehend their last legal Settlement to be in such parish
and not in the parish of St. Olave Southwark
and therefore
that the said parish of St. Olave Southwark
ought not
to be Burthened with the Charge and expense of
Maintaining the said paupers
Wherefore Your Petitioners humbly Appeal
against the said Warrant or order of removal
and pray that the same may be discharged and
that your petitioners may be paid for Maintaining
the said paupers together with the Costs of this
Appeal by the Church Wardens and Overseers of ye
poor of the parish of St. George
Middlesex
or that
your petitioners may have such other relief in
the premisses as to your Worships shall seem
Meet.
And your petitioners will ever pray Etc
