Maketh Oath and Saith That he this Deponent did
Cause Jamsen Burrington< no role >
and another in September
last to be taken up and became bound Over to Prosecute such People
and did give to the Constable who took Such Persons
ten Shillings and Six pence in order that a prosecution
might go against such Persons and such Constable
faithfully Promised this Deponent to inform him when
it would be necessary for this Deponent to Attend for
such purpose and this Deponent saith that relying on
the said Constable for such Information and which
the said Constable never gave nor did this Deponent
know or hear any more of the Affair [..] till this
Deponent reced a Letter from the Clerk of the Peace
informing this Deponent that this Deponants
Recognizance was forfeited and so far was this
Deponent from thinking or beleiving that it was
necessary for this Deponents Appearancethat
before now that this Deponant really beleived
that the said Persons whom this Deponent was
bound over to Prosecute were now in Custody & that
this Deponent in no ways was Accessary to the said Persons Discharge
Sworn in Court this
