To the Worshipful his Majestys Justices of
the Peace for the County of Middlesex in general
Sessions of the Peace in and for the said County
assembled

The humble Petition and Appeal of the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Saint John of Wapping in the
County of Middlesex

Sheweth


That by an order under the Handsam Seals of
J. Penleaze and Edmund Pepys< no role > Esquires two of his Majestys
Justices of the Peace for the County of Middlesex (One whereof
being of the Quorum) bearing date the seventeenth day
of July One thousand seven hundred and seventy nine whereby
Samuel Young< no role > Mary< no role > his Wife and their four Children
lawful Issue namely Eleanor< no role > aged fifteen Years Elizabeth< no role >
aged about seven Years Ann< no role > aged about five years and
Sarah< no role > aged three Years and upwards were removed from
the Parish of Saint Leonard Shoreditch in the County of
Middlesex to the said Parish of Saint John of Wapping
in the said County of Middlesex as the place of their
last legal Settlement

That your Petitioners conceive themselves
aggrieved by the said Order and do appeal against the
same

Your Petitioners therefore humbly pray
that a short day may be appointed of
this present Sessions to hear and
determine the matter of the said Appeal
