To the Overseers to the Poor of the Liberty of Saffron-Hill ,
Hatton-Garden and Ely-Rents, in the Parish of St. Andrew,
Holborn , in the said County, and to the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint Andrew Holborn
in the City of London

WHEREAS Complaint has been made by you the Overseers
of the Poor of the said Liberty of Saffron-Hill , Hatton-Garden ,
and Ely-Rents, unto us whose hands and Seals are hereunto set, two
of His Matesty's Justices of the Peace (whereof one is of the Quorum)
in and for the said County of Middlesex , That Sarah Delap< no role > , wife of
John Delap< no role > (who has deserted her) and their Six Children namely James< no role > of
the age of fourteen Years or thereabouts, Ann< no role > of the age of Twelve Years or thereabouts
John< no role > of the age of Eleven years or thereaboouts Celia< no role > of the age of Eight Years
or thereabouts George< no role > of the age of Six Years of thereabouts and Mary< no role > of the age of
four years or thereabouts
lately intruded themselves into your said Liberty of Saffron-Hill ,
Hatton-Garden , and Ely-Rents, there to inhabit as parishioner con-
trary to he Laws relating to the Settlement of the Poor, and are there
become Chargeable,if not timely PreventedAND
WHEREAS, upon due Examination and Enquiry made into the Pre-
mises, on Oath and other Circumstances it appears to us, and we ac-
cordingly adjudge, That the said Sarah Delap< no role > and her said Six Children
James, Ann, John, Celia, George and Mary

are become Chargeable unto the said Liberty of Saffron-Hill , Hat-
ton-Garden, and Ely-Rents, and that the last legal Place of Settlement
of the said Sarah Delap< no role > are her said six Children James Ann
John Celia George and Mary is in the said Parish of
Saint Andrew Holborn in the City of London
THESE are therefore in His Majesty's Name, to order and require you
the said Overseers of the Poor of the Liberty of Saffron-Hill , Hatton-
Garden , and Ely-Rents aforesaid, that you or some of you, do forth
with remove and convey the said Sarah Delap< no role > and her said Six
Children James, Ann, John, Celia, George and Mary

from your said Liberty of Saffron-Hill , Hatton-Garden , and Ely-Rents,
to the said Parish of Saint Andrew Holborn in the City of
London and them deliver to the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor there, or some or one of them, together with
this our Warrant or Order, or a true Copy thereof; whereby they are
likewise required in His Majesty's Name, and by Virtue of the Sta-
tutes in such Case made, forthwith to receive the said Sarah Delap< no role >
and her said Six Children James, Ann John Celia, George
and Mary
into their said Parish Care and provide for then
as their Parishioner. GIVEN under our Hands and Seals the
seventh Day of September in the Year of
our Lord, One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy Nine
