MIDDLESEX


AT the General Quarter Session of the Peace
of our Lord the King, holden in and for the County
of Middlesex , at Hicks Hall , in Saint John-Street ,
(by adjournment) on Thursday the eight
Day of Julyin the nineteenth Year of the
Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third, King
of Great Britain, Etc.

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the parish of
Saint Giles in Reading in the County of Berks Have at this present Session
Exhibited their Petition and Appeal setting forth That by virtue of a Pass
Warrant or order under the hands and Seals of James Clitherow< no role > and John
Drinkwater
< no role > Esquires two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County
of Middx (one whereof being of the Quorum) bearing date the 28th day of April
last past Olive< no role > the wife of John Heath< no role > and this their four children one named Sarah< no role >
about nine years another named Mary< no role > aged about six years another named
John< no role > aged about five years another named William< no role > aged about two years
were removed and conveyed from and out of the Parish of Heston in the County
of Middlesex unto the parish of Saint Giles Reading as the place of their last leagl
Settlement Whereby the Petitioners conceived themselves aggrieved Whereupon at
the request of the said Petitioners It is ordered that the benefit of their said
Appeal should be saved unto them and the hearing and determining thereof be
and the same is hereby adjourned until the next General Session of the Peace
to be holden for the said County and on Notice hereof in the mean time to be
given unto the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the parish of
Heston they and all persons concerned do attend the Court at Hicks Hall
aforesaid on Thursday the sixteenth day of September next at the hour
of nine in the forenoon of the same day to hear and abide the Judgment
and determination of the said Court touching the said Appeal
